That’s it folks! After months of practice and dedication to the sport, one of the sport’s world’s biggest events took place, and when the all the action was over, new champions were named. Giants who? This year the real winners were the Campus Wide “Balls Deeper” and the Divisional “Totem Park’s Mythical Creatures” who won their respective divisions and attained eternal glory in the Tailgater Football tournament.

The morning started out beautifully, the sun was out in full force, perfect football weather. It didn’t take mother nature very long to get in the way however, as a thick cloud of fog rolled over UBC and brought a chill with it. To the participant’s credit, everyone took the weather in stride and not a single complaint could be heard.

Teams adapted to the weather on the fly, bringing out running plays, short plays, and even some hail marys by the end of the day. Kayla Primm, from the team “Kind of a Big Deal” told The Point that “Tailgater is my favorite tournament of the year, the timing with the Super Bowl really gets everyone amped up and ready to play”.
