This week the huddle takes a look at the REC leagues which feature games that run late into the night, and the dedication of those who play in them.

Point Grey Cup Football- The “Big TD’s”
These are the “Big TD’s.” They were scheduled to play a game during the last hour of play this past Sunday night. However, the team that they were supposed to play against ended up not coming to play. So, instead of simply leaving early, the “Big TD’s”, which is also a free agents team, decided that they were all going to stay for the last hour and play a friendly game amongst themselves just for fun. They ended up playing right until the end and were one of the last teams to leave the field. These Night Owls showed great sportsmanship, and a true love for football!
Todd Ice Hockey
Special mention also goes to the Todd Ice hockey league teams, who’s games often go well after midnight, and yet the players constantly show up with smiles on their faces!
