As the season comes to a close and the competition for champion shirts begins, there’s one team that’s not sweating much. (Figuratively, of course. Brianne Miller’s argyle socks are apparently dripping with sweat after an intense final match!) Top Gunners, CoREC Campus Wide Champs as of the 21st of November, are no stranger to the pressure of playoff finals: they found themselves in the same position last year and came out on top.

It was a close game against Ryan Hindmarch’s team, who happened to be their biggest competition in the league. After a well battled game by both teams, the Top Gunners took it 8-7. MVP of the game was Brianne Miller who scored four goals to lead her team to victory; also a special mention to the “Samurai Goalie” who was seen making some pretty stellar saves.  Top Gunners will be playing futsal again next semester, so get a team together before December 2nd and try your luck against some great competitors!
