This past Saturday, UBC REC hosted some fierce competition on the badminton courts. On October 22nd, players from across UBC matched up at the Fall Badminton Championship, held at the SRC. After hours of intense competition, tournament champions were crowned.

Winning the Females Singles competition was returning champion Jacinda Yeung, who put in an impressive performance in both the singles and doubles competition. Jacinda, along with her partner Carol Ng, also battled through a long day of doubles competition to complete their quest for the “golden birdy” prize.

On the men’s side Jason Wong rose to the occasion to take home the title of Men’s Singles Champion.  In the Men’s Doubles competition Ho Man Lee and Benjamin Mastar of the “Jedi Pandas” used the force to outwit their opponents and make it to the top.
