The sun provided a gorgeous backdrop for the entire day!

October the 16th was a perfect example of why it’s so great to be involved with Handley Cup soccer. The sun was shining throughout the day, and made the early morning all the more bearable. Great sportsmanship was demonstrated all day as the players ran back and forth across the field with an air of professionalism.

Players could be heard throughout the day complimenting various plays they saw their team, as well as the opposition, executing.

All in all, it was a great day to be outside, and while some players may have been suffering from the night before, everyone was giving it their all. Any grumbles or groans made in regards to being up that early in the morning quickly disappeared as the players stepped into the stadium. Pictures still don’t serve the day justice, and if you’re really questioning just how intense and fun these games can be, why not check for your self and come on down to a game?

Uniforms are in, and teams are beginning to look like champs. It only seems fair to thank all of you for your participation and energy these past few weeks.  We know it can be a struggle to show up and give it your best, but you are all doing a great job, and all of us on the Soccer crew appreciate it.
