Do you lace up because you want to help find a cure? To raise awareness? Because you love to see the smiling faces of children? Once you’ve registered to Lace Up for Kids, tell us why!
The Point is hosting video campaign for all individuals and teams fundraising for Lace-Up For Kids! The purpose of this video is to raise awareness about Lace Up For Kids, as well as provide an aid to your fundraising, not to mention some sweet prizes for those who participate. You can submit your videos anytime up to Thursday, November 25th. Here’s how:
Step 1:
Decide whether to film yourself, your team, or both!
Step 2:
Select your preferred method of filming, such as a smartphone, laptop webcam, digital camera or camcorder. If you want to edit your video, you use MovieMaker (PC) or iMovie (Mac). If you don’t have access to a video-recording device, contact us at thepoint(at)rec.ubc.ca and we can work something out.
Step 3:
Start rolling!

Please try to limit the videos to a maximum of 1 minute. Step 4: Once you’re ready, upload your video to the UBC REC Facebook page! To qualify for prizes, put your team name, a link to your fundraising donation page, and your ultimate fundraising goal in the caption. Don’t forget to tag your friends! Step 5: All videos submitted will be featured on the big screen at the Lace-Up For Kids event. The Point will also be monitoring Tweets and Facebook likes, and will have prizes for teams that shares their video the most and raises the most money. Need some inspiration?
